Montage Resort & Spa Wedding Published in the Knot Southern California
It’s pretty cool to get an email form the Knot Southern California asking me if I had photographed a wedding recently at the Montage Resort & Spa in Laguna Beach. I emailed back the editor and said yes I had! Sent her a few wedding images from the Montage. They chose one and ran it as a full page spread. Sweet! This is from Jessica & Joel’s wedding.
P.S. I lived in Laguna Beach for 16 years. It was the first place I came to from NYC with two grand and two bags of clothes in 1991. Back then I was working 3 jobs to make ends meet and sleeping on the floor in my friend Leslie’s house. Laguna hold a special place in my heart. One of my favorite places is Zinc cafe in Laguna Beach. I loke to go there grab a latter and read and people watch.
P.P.S. When I first moved to Laguna Beach, the Montage Resort and Spa didn’t even exist. The swath of land that it occupies was a trailer park and you could live there for between $400 – $600 bucks a month. The Montage cost about a billion dollars to build and some of the land had to be given over to the town of Laguna Beach as a park.
